How To Find Work At Home Jobs

Some people who want to find work at home jobs give up in disgust, thinking that everything they encounter seems like a scam or offers far too little pay for far too much work. Others, looking for honest work at home jobs get frustrated when they respond to a money-making ad and learn that the way the company advises them to make money is by placing a similar ad and suckering in a whole new generation of people who want to find home jobs.

But it is possible to find work at home jobs that are legitimate; it is also possible to find honest work at home jobs. Here are a few places to start:

Your hometown. Many people break out in a cold sweat when they think of cold-calling, but one of the best ways to find work at home jobs is to meet real employers who are contracting honest work at home out to real people. Make a list of businesses, and promise yourself that every day you will call at least five. Ask if they ever use contract workers, and if the answer is yes, ask if you can make an appointment to come in and talk to the people who make those hiring decisions.

The local newspaper. Skip the ads with all caps (e.g., MAKE MONEY NOW), multiple exclamation points, and (presumably) toll free numbers to call for more details. This will still leave you with a few people who are genuinely looking to hire responsible contract employees. You might have eyestrain from the small print, but don’t give up; the newspaper is a great place to find work at home jobs if you know how to separate the wheat from the chaff.

The internet. Sure, the internet is full of abusers, but it is also full of honest work at home job offers if you know where to go. Find reputable sites that cater to your area of interest—such sites often list jobs that pay well.

There will always be jerks and rip-off artists among us, but don’t let a bad experience or two discourage you. Keep looking until you find work at home jobs that you love.
